NIT constructed five AC rooms and provided supervision for another seven. These areas covered 1050 m2 and were all one deck high. A total of 20 AC units were installed and 8450 meters of pipes and ducts were fitted. High standards of technical reliability, ease-of-use and service for the installed HVAC systems were set, and the NIT team succeeded in meeting these requirements.
AIDAprima & AIDAperla were built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan and NIT 10 000 m2 scope included spa areas, staircases for passengers and crew as well as AC rooms. We think that these two projects were one of the greatest success stories of NIT as the execution of AIDA vessels were a proof of NIT’s capabilities, flexibility and expertise.
