The biggest cruise ship in the world totally has the greatest number of stairs as well. NIT built for crew areas over 10 000 m2 and 2,5 kilometers, 18 staircases from the first decks up to the 18th floor. Imagine how many footsteps these stairs have seen during the construction time, when thousands of workmen ran up and down daily. Or as over 2000 crew members are now moving through the stairs daily. Also in the public areas NIT built some more aesthetic stairs at the Promenade area.
Icon of the Seas was a project for NIT to prove the expertise and capabilities to deliver these kinds of extremely complex and unique areas. NIT teams outdid themselves with excelling the mission: put the customer first.
