This is the sister ship of Mein Schiff 3 – and the second in a long series of vessels for TUI Cruises of Germany. Repeat projects like this have almost identical work but there are always some small differences and changes in materials, which needs to be carefully checked under a tight schedule.
The whole process is usually easier than for the first prototype ship, but it still requires a lot of expertise. We want to highlight the installation work that happens behind the scenes – highly technical workmanship, hundreds of kilometers of pipes and cables – and no room for error. Mein Schiff 4 was built with 5000 m2 of different types of areas – all of which included the background works in the turnkey delivery.
