Vesa Heikkinen has sold all his NIT shares for current owners Sebastian Lagerlöf and Juhani Määttänen. In addition to them Jari Suominen and Ilkka Hiekkanen continue as present owners. Vesa Heikkinen will continue in his position of Financial Director and member of the management team.
Along with selling his shares Vesa Heikkinen will also leave the board of directors. Kenneth Luoma, one of the founders of the company and former owner, left the board during last summer and Jyrki Heinimaa was assigned to replace him as a new board member.
Heinimaa is a maritime professional who will strengthen the board of directors with his broad experience in shipbuilding and other manufacturing industries, as well as wide knowledge in finance and legal matters. He has been employed as CEO of Rauma Marine Constructions Oy and Holmig Group Oy, as well as CFO and VP of STX Finland Oy and its previous company forms. In addition, Heinimaa is a board professional with experience in multiple board duties and chairmanship of for example Sunborn Group, Auramarine Oy and Simsotech Oy.
These announced changes will not affect NIT’s other personnel, projects or operations.
