Sustainability can be seen in our daily operations and we want to continuously develop through collaborations of the industry, aiming at more sustainable shipbuilding together.

Sustainability Reporting

NIT is committed to all aspects of sustainability. Environmental responsibility reaches through our supply chain, with range of ecological materials and solutions for customers. Social resposibility is in the core of operations, focusing on personnel well-being and management. Sustainable governance includes management topics and specified, annually monitored sustainability KPIs.

Sustainability Report is emphasizing transparent operations and makes our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibility actions visible. Sustainability reporting is made with reference to GRI index.

GreeNIT QMS

GreeNIT QMS is the Quality Management System of NIT, fostering the sustainable way of operations and measuring and monitoring daily sustainable efforts. It follows company’s mission, vision and values, and all the personnel are part of this culture. The aim of the company is to be a globally recognized and preferred partner in turnkey project deliveries in the shipbuilding industry.

One of NIT’s principles of conducting business is to understand the needs and expectations of customers and to provide high quality and sustainable products to meet these requirements. Active development and innovation are at the core of NIT business, as well as taking care of never compromising the quality or Health, Safety or Environmental (HSE) matters.

GreeNIT management system includes sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) deﬁned by NIT Management team for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals. The Quality Management System of Oy NIT Naval Interior Team Ltd is built according to the requirements set in the standard SFS-EN ISO 9001:2015 and certified by DNV.

NIT Naval Interior Team is also granted with Strongest in Finland certificate, and fully registered as a supplier on the Achilles Global Energy community, compliant with NORSOK and IOGP requirements and validated by Achilles.

NIT Reporting Channel

We in NIT are committed to responsibility in our daily work. To uphold these standards, NIT has a whistleblowing channel for reporting any instances of illegal or unethical acts that may come to your attention. This channel is open to all personnel, partners, and external stakeholders associated with NIT.

All reports submitted will be treated with the utmost seriousness and handled confidentially. The reporting channel ensures anonymity and is administered by the Finland Chamber of Commerce.
